1. ALBERTA AZERBAIJANI CULTURAL SOCIETY, or ALACS, is an independent, non profit and non political Cultural Community, which has been built to establish cultural bridges between Canadians and Azerbaijanis in Canadian Society. 2. Politically Neutral Organization: i) ALACS – is not a political organization but a cultural society with deep historical connection to the Azerbaijani nation. ii) ALACS has no political allegiance. Therefore members of ALACS are solely responsible for their public statements, their political affiliations and/or their political commitments. iii) As indicated herein, ALACS separates political and historical views and therefore ALACS preserves all rights to discuss and to commemorate any historical fact related to Azerbaijani Heritage. 3. ALACS generally encourages and fosters goodwill within the community through regulation of society members and activities; 4. To acquire, sell, manage, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the ALACS. 5. To provide a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the interests of the ALACS. 6. To deliver classes, debates, seminars and lectures on Azerbaijani history and culture and to give and arrange musical and dramatic classes and entertainments. 7. To establish and maintain a library on Azerbaijan.
