From "Atalar Sozlari" to Proverbs

Atalar sozlari (proverbs engl.) have an important place in Azerbaijani culture. Word-to-word English translation of "atalar sozlari" will be "fathers' words", which also counts for advices given by wise elders to young generations.

Currently proverbs posted in our web-site are in Azeri language. Within "Bridging between Cultures" ALACS invites you to translate atalar sozlari to proverbs. Send your translated proverbs to contact@alacs.biz and we will publish them online. This is one way to introduce Azerbaijani Culture in Canada and will help international communities in Canada in understanding of our philosophy and traditions.
